Delete your account

Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]

You can delete your NextBend account and everything in it at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent: it can’t be undone.

Delete by email

This works today, and also if you no longer have the app.

  1. Write to [CONTACT EMAIL] with the subject “Delete my account”.
  2. Send it from the email address on your NextBend account. If you used Apple’s Hide My Email, or no longer have that address, tell us whether you signed in with Apple or Google and the name on the account, so we can find it.
  3. We confirm it’s your account, delete it, and reply to tell you it’s done.

Delete in the app

Coming in the next app update:

  1. Open NextBend and tap your picture at the top right of Journeys to open Account.
  2. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Until then, use the email route above.

What gets deleted

Straight away, from our database:

  • your account: name, email addresses and linked Apple and Google sign-ins;
  • all your journeys, with their routes, stops and places, rides and ride reports;
  • your bikes and their history;
  • diagnostic events and battery samples.

We also sign you out everywhere and revoke NextBend’s access to your Apple ID if you used Sign in with Apple.

What remains, and for how long

  • Backups: copies in our daily backups are deleted automatically after 14 days, so everything is gone within 15 days.
  • Device record: a record of your phone — its model, iOS and app version, device identifier and when it was last seen — stays, no longer linked to you or to any account.
  • Server logs and crash reports: kept for a limited time, then overwritten or deleted automatically.

Data on your phone

Deleting your account doesn’t reach into your phone. To remove NextBend data from it, sign out in the app (Account → Sign out) or delete the app. Journeys you recorded without signing in exist only on your phone and go when you delete the app.

Keep a copy first

Want to keep your rides? Before you delete, share each journey from the app as a GPX file, or ask us at [CONTACT EMAIL] for a full export of your account.
